Well Sunday is Mother’s Day in many parts of the world, and I wanted to dedicate a special thank you to my Mom Mary Ann Jackson, Mom I wanted to say thank you for all the sacrafices you made just to make sure I never lacked anything as a little girl growing up, I remember my mother working 3 jobs to take care of our household, which means by her being a single mom she had to sacrafice never being home with me, never being able to come to any of my school functions, and while she was an international Vocalist she alway’s had to leave me with someone else which led her to a very difficult decision which was to leave her passion inorder to be closer to me., well I’ve never forgotten that, and about a week ago while going through some papers I found this message my Mom left for me, it brought back memories and as I read it my eyes filled with tears, because theres nothing like a mother’s love no matter how you receive it, it just warms your heart.
So this is the flip side of the postcard which is a picture of my beautiful Mom, that she used to send to her fans and family from whatever city she was playing in. (I think I’ll have to do something like that as well. Thanks Mom!)
The card is dated 12-22-05 and she wrote me a little note of appreciation to me, (to paint the picture for you) see I was touring in Europe and I sent for her to come be with me throught the Christmas holidays’ as her gift from me, and reading the note it just reminded me of the little things that mother’s do that mean so much in your later years. They are always there to give you an encouraging word in some kind of way., it’s moments like these when you realize just how much they care., so I just want to say thank you Mom, for all that you sacraficed for me and the gift of music that lives in me from you! Love you much!
